"Walang Bakuna, Walang Klase!" Magandang Kongresista, may Panukala para malabanan ang COVID-19!

Magugunita na inanunsyo ng Deparment of Education (DepEd) na ang pagbabalik sa klase ay gagawin sa huling bahagi ng Agosto imbes na sa Hunyo. Ang pagbabago na ito ay dala ng coronavirus disease 2019 (covid-19) outbreak sa bansa.

Pero para kay QUezon City Reprentative Precious Hipolito Castelo, mas mabuti daw na huwag ng munang magbalik eskwela hanggat wala pang nagagawang bakuna laban sa covid-19.

“I think we should not hold classes in all school until the world finds a vaccine against covid-19 and it it available in our country. We should not expose our children to the virus. We can wait until a vaccine is available or until this crisis is over to send our children back to school,” paliwanag ni Congresswoman Castelo.

Nagsalita na rin kamakailan si Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque tungkol sa pagbabalik-eskwela. Ayon sa tagapagsalit ni Pangulong Rodirgo Duterte, hindi nila ilalagay sa alanganin ang mga estudyante at handa silang gumawa ng paraan at kanselahin ang pagbubukas ng mga paaralan.

“Today is May but we’re hoping that by August 24, which is the mandated day para magsimula ang mga public schools, ay nasa GCQ na po ang buong Pilipinas. Kung hindi po (for public schools to open, the entire country is already under the general community quarantine. If not), we will take the appropriate action… We will not put the students at risk. If we need to postpone the opening of classes because there is a high number of cases, or the second wave happens, then we will make that decision,” sabi ni Spokesperson Roque.

Narito po ang reaksyon ng ilang kababayan natin tungkol sa petsa ng pagbubukas ng klase.

“I cannot jeopardize my child’s health for the sake of education… It’s our responsibility as a parent to educate our children specially at these times… So for me, no vaccine, no in-class…” – C. Roselle.

“No to physical classes. Find alternative ways like virtual sessions, module learning, etc. I am sure DepEd will take an action by continuing learning without sacrifing our children’s health.” – L. Colastre.
